The Public Utilities Board (PUB) Singapore organized ‘Walk for Water’at the Gardens Bay East as part of World Water Day 2018 celebrations. PUB is responsible for ensuring a sustainable and efficient water supply in Singapore. ‘Walk for Water’ was organized to promote water conservation.
SRLC Singapore was honored to be chosen as one of the participating partners for this event. Over 40 volunteers, young and old, walked the 1.8km route as a mark of solidarity with the people in developing countries who have to walk long distances daily to gain access to clean water. SRLC volunteers carried several banners to spread awareness of water scarcity and to emphasize the importance of water conservation. SRLC was presented with a certificate of Appreciation from Mr. Masagos Zulkifli (Minister for the Environment and Water Resources).
