On the occasion of Diwali, over 900 students from various local government schools visited the Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram for a fun-filled event! The students, studying in standards 6-8, had been eagerly looking forward to this evening since weeks.
The celebrations began with the students gathering in the magnificent Amphitheatre, home to the world’s tallest Pratimaji of Shrimad Rajchandraji. After the lighting of the lamp performed by the Principals of the schools, the celebrations began with an entertaining skit performed by volunteers. The skit highlighted the significance of Diwali, and inspired students to make good victorious over evil in their own lives.
Volunteers spent precious moments with the students, engaging them in team-building activities, and dancing with them to various folk and traditional songs. Volunteers also conducted an informative presentation highlighting the social initiatives of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care to students and faculty members present.
Towards the end of the event, a meal was served to all and gifts were distributed amongst the students, which were received with happy smiles. Several students also spent introspective moments at the Ashram.
These local government schools, have been associated with the Shrimad Rajchandra Educational Outreach Programme, through which academic and other support is offered to schools through Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul and Shrimad Rajchandra Education on Wheels. Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care received an overwhelming positive response from the school authorities who appreciated this event.
