’10 Bagless Days’ is a National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recommendation that encourages students from grades 6-8 to ‘learn without schoolbags’, through hands-on projects, live field visits, and short vocational exposures.
To put this into practice, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care hosted a two-day Teachers’ Training Programme at the Ashram with the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), the Government of Gujarat’s district-level academic and teacher-education body.
Educators explored activity design, safety protocols, timetabling, community linkages for local expert visits, and simple rubrics to document learning. A career awareness session for teachers and principals was also conducted.
With participation from over 100 schools, the programme equipped teams to run “bagless” days smoothly in the coming term and sustain the approach through the year.
