In a heartwarming display of compassion, volunteers from various Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care USA centres embarked on a significant food distribution initiative spanning multiple cities.
San Francisco: Throughout August, more than 2,500 bagels found their way to those in need. Beneficiary organisations included Home First, Life Moves, Family Navigation Center, Sunnyvale County Winter Shelter, and West Valley Community Services, among others.
Parsippany, New Jersey: Generosity flowed as over 5,500 servings of dry oatmeal packets were donated. These nourishing contributions reached organisations like Interfaith Food Pantry, Morris Plains, Market Street Mission in Morristown, and Hands of Hope Ministries in Paterson.
Phoenix, Arizona: Volunteers extended their support by preparing and providing home-cooked meals to homeless individuals registered in Tempe Action Agency’s Interfaith help programme. These meals comprised vegetables, rice, salad, fruits and juice.
Long Island: The gesture of kindness continued with the distribution of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to the homeless, benefiting “Soup to Nuts” Soup Kitchen in Freeport and TriCya in Huntington & NY.
Washington DC: Dry oatmeal packets made their way to Shelter House Inc and Baileys Shelter Home, providing nourishment and hope to over 300 individuals.
These selfless acts of kindness have touched countless lives, spreading not only sustenance but also smiles along the way.
