Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care launched the Nutri Garden Project to empower rural households – especially those affected by anaemia and sickle-cell disease – by providing access to fresh, nutritious vegetables. By distributing a variety of saplings and seeds, the initiative has promoted home-grown nutrition, crucial for promoting both better health and sustainable livelihoods.
Over 120 farmers have received support through this initiative, with each farmer receiving tools and training to start their own gardens.
Beyond ensuring access to fresh, nutrient-rich food, the project will also enable surplus produce to be sold, creating opportunities for additional income.
This initiative stands as a string model of how simple, community-based interventions can lead to lasting change in health, agriculture, and rural empowerment.
