The Shrimad Rajchandra Sowing for Energy, Empowerment and Development (SEED) Programme was initiated to improve local family nutrition levels and supplements livelihood through the cultivation of organic kitchen gardens.
Using SEED kits, villagers are trained in organic farming methods, healthy cooking practices and are supported to improve the intake of nutrients.
Similar organic gardens have been cultivated at the Ashram for self-efficacy and significantly reduce our carbon footprint.
Permaculture methods are used to conserve water and grow items such as moringa, mango, chikoo, cashew, lemongrass, basil, mint, tomatoes, cucumber, okra etc.
