In honour of International Women’s Day, volunteers from the Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care London centre distributed gift bags to vulnerable women in the city. These bags contained essential items such as body wash, deodorant, hand sanitizer, face masks, along with positive affirmations and handwritten messages. These thoughtful gifts were distributed to six women’s shelters that provide support to survivors of abuse and domestic violence, including Watford Women’s Centre, St Albans and Hertsmere Women’s Refuge, Solace, Women at Wish, Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid, and Azalea Luton.
In addition to this, volunteers also organised a fundraiser for Sebby’s Corner, a charity that assists families living in poverty, refugees, asylum seekers, women, and children who have fled domestic abuse, as well as victims of modern slavery and human trafficking.
Furthermore, volunteers gathered to assemble “Bundles of Joy” gift boxes and write personalised cards for local children’s charities, including Playskill, Watford Mencap, Action for Children, Herts Inclusive Theatre, Get Set 4 Tennis, and Hertfordshire Community NHS services.
