Shrimad Rajchandra Educational Aids involves distribution of notebooks and stationery items at highly subsidised rates for rural students. This initiative helps families save money as the items are 35% below market prices. Before the start of the academic year, these items are sold at more than 60 centres throughout the state of Gujarat.
For a child, there are few things more exciting than the start of a new school year. Yet, for many parents, the cost of school stationery can be a major concern. To ensure that the cost of stationery does not prevent children from attending and excelling in school, we engage in an annual school stationery distribution drive by offering notebooks, schoolbags, compass boxes, writing-pads, pencils and pens at highly subsidised rates.
Through this initiative, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care reaches out to over 2,00,000 children annually. Families travel over 50 kms to purchase these items for their children, as the quality is superior and the lower costs result in greater savings.
The Government of India’s National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), an apex development bank with a focus to uplift rural India by increasing the credit flow for elevation of agriculture and rural non-farm sector, has been supporting this initiative for many years.
