Shrimad Rajchandra Distribution of Essential Aids for Respite (DEAR) is a program that distributes essential items to the 23 million homeless in India.
The lack of adequate shelter and extreme weather conditions cause illness and displacement for many. As pictured to the right, we distribute tarpaulin sheets and raincoats for shelter during monsoon season to keep people dry, thus preventing illness. In addition, before the chilly winter sets in, we distribute blankets and specifically designed cold weather kits consisting of head-gear, foot-creams, and other protective gears.

Just as a parent worries over their sick child, we at SRLC worry for those who have no shelter and no one to take care of them. The distribution of essential items provides the homeless with a sense of dignity and care that each and every person deserves!
