School supplies for refugee children

Volunteers from the Phoenix Centre have been conducting various activities to support refugee families and help them integrate into American society.

The Centre has partnered with WTAP (Welcome to America Project), an NGO that helps furnish the apartments of refugees with necessities such as furniture, kitchen utensils, clothes, computers, bicycles, etc. This month, during Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji’s Dharmayatra, He lovingly offered school supplies to the organisation.

Items included backpacks, stationery, headphones, etc. This initiative will go a long way in helping refugee children integrate with more ease into the schooling system.
