Volunteers of the Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care centres in Los Angeles, Austin, San Diego, Philadelphia and Chicago centres extended support to students and educational institutes in their localities.
The Los Angeles centre collaborated with the Pomona School District to provide 5-item supplies packets to 120 kids, consisting of file folders, notebooks, crayons, mechanical pencils and glue sticks.
Volunteers in Austin collected a range of school supplies, including writing books, journals, printer papers, and writing and colouring accessories, to support the Texas Baptist Church in providing for underprivileged children throughout the year.
In San Diego, volunteers prepared backpacks with school supplies, including notebooks, folders, crayons, markers, erasers, sharpeners, pens, and pencil sets. The backpacks and school supply kits were donated to Otay Elementary School, which supports low-income families.
Additionally, backpacks were donated to Tanner Duckrey School in Downtown Philadelphia, and the Chicago centre supported two local organisations with school supplies.
These efforts provides essential support for children to start their school year confidently and alleviate the financial burden on families from low-income backgrounds.
