On 27th August 2026, a glacial collapse on the Nepal-Tibet border triggered catastrophic flash floods across Nepal’s Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading districts. Water levels in the Trishuli River rose by as much as 9 metres in just 30 minutes. Hundreds of people have been confirmed dead, with thousands still missing. Entire communities have been flattened, with bridges, roads, and critical infrastructure destroyed.
Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care, under the Emergency Relief Programme, is working through local agencies on the ground to reach affected families in the hardest-hit areas.
Relief materials being dispatched include:
– Shelter: Heavy-duty tarpaulins, blankets, shelter sets, and sleeping mats.
– Water: Safe drinking water and water containers.
– Food: Ready-to-eat meals and cooking sets.
– Hygiene: Wash kits, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and towels.
– Light: Lanterns and emergency lamps.
