Rural India still depends on firewood as a source of energy, leading to deforestation and damage to the environment. Shrimad Rajchandra Jivamaitridham, an animal shelter in Dharampur, has recently started using cow dung to make an alternative to firewood. The logs made from cow-dung are eco-friendly, light weight, economical and emit less smoke. These logs will be supplied to local families for household purposes, crematoriums, manufacturing industries etc. This initiative will go a long way in conserving the environment!
Further, biodegradable pots made are being produced to grow and nurture plants. A beautiful range of colourful floating diyas made from cow dung will help to spread light and positivity.
