Lighting up smiles in the lives of orphaned children during Diwali

Diwali is a festival of lights, where everyone exchanges gifts signifying joy and love for each other. On this occasion, volunteers of Pune centre decided to brighten up the lives of orphaned children at Maher Ashram, an orphanage in Pune providing shelter to children in the age group of 3 to 20. The volunteers started the event with a prayer thanking the Lord and then engaging the children in games. They distributed clothes, sweets, books and toys to the children which made the children so happy that they could not wait to start playing with the toys and reading the books. The children thoroughly enjoyed the Diwali festivities and reciprocated their happiness with glowing smiles.
