Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre celebrated World Braille Day 2022 with a significant initiative. To highlight the importance of Braille as a medium of communication for visually impaired individuals, the Hospital launched a Comprehensive Vision Assessment and Rehabilitation Programme for children in a visually-challenged friendly school.
Many children in such schools, who suffer treatable ophthalmic conditions, could lead better lives with the right interventions. The programme focuses on providing the necessary screenings and treatments for children, allowing them to pursue education in mainstream schools with the aid of telescopes, magnifying glasses and electronic devices.
This initiative aligns with the essence of World Braille Day, promoting inclusivity and education for all.
