Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care has been conducting mehendi training classes for under-privileged women and girls in Mumbai to enable them to cultivate this skills and put it to use for earning a living. In this direction, the second batch of mehendi course for women from low income groups was conducted at St. Jude’s School, Mumbai. At the end of the course, a mehendi competition was organised where a professional mehendi artist was invited as a judge to motivate the girls. She appreciated the volunteers for training the girls so well that they were now ready to step out in the competitive world outside. Three of the girls were declared as the winners and apart from prize money, they were offered their first mehendi orders. After getting their first orders, the girls also shared their experiences with the rest of the batch on how the volunteers helped them overcome their fear and earn their first income after learning mehendi.
