Recognised as a Model Centre by the Government of India, Shrimad Rajchandra District Early Intervention Centre regularly conducts training sessions for the staff of other such government centres to ensure sharing of best practices.
Recently, an Introduction and Sensitisation Training Programme on Early Intervention was organised for faculty members from Early Intervention Centres across Gujarat. The workshops were attended by members from various disciplines, including physiotherapists, speech therapists, dentists, lab technicians, nurses and administrative managers.
An experienced team of doctors conducted the training, sharing the latest developments in the field of Early Intervention to address the 4Ds in children – Birth Defects, Diseases, Deficiencies and Developmental Delays/Disabilities.
Additionally, a two-day educational tour was hosted at Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre for 27 Nodal Medical Officers from Early Intervention Centres. Through the tour, they studied and observed the Hospital’s holistic approach towards Early Intervention, achieved through the integration of medical outreach, mobilisation and training of health workers, and community linkages.
