As a part of the Educational Care programme, volunteers of the San Francisco centre collaborated with Walmart to distribute essential school supplies to students and to various local schools across the city.
Among the schools in the area, the selected schools with students from families under the poverty line were Tennyson High School, Mt. Eden High School, San Leandro Unified School, Lyndale Elementary School and Cureton Elementary School.
Volunteers distributed notebooks, pens, colouring pencils, crayons, highlighters, markers and other stationery items to the schools. Other items donated included file folders, binders, punching machines, organisers, etc.
Principals and key leads of these schools expressed their gratitude towards Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care and Walmart for their generous donation and time. Thousands of students benefitted from this distribution drive.
