Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care partnered with General Mills and Children of the World (India) Trust to organise a workshop for children from the slum areas of Navi Mumbai. During the workshop, the children made festive handwork, which they had the opportunity to showcase at the offices of General Mills, Powai. The proceeds from the sale of these items were used to buy gifts for the children! Interacting with the staff of the company also increased their exposure and boosted their confidence.
A follow-up workshop and special celebration was also organised at a community centre in Rabale. The event started off with exciting value-based games, through which children learnt the importance of team work. It was followed by music, dance and refreshments. Towards the end, gifts were distributed among the children, lighting up their faces with happy smiles!
