Four-year-old Dev Khunglu, diagnosed with cerebral palsy due to a birth-related brain injury, found renewed hope at the Vavania Multi-Speciality Free Medical Camp organised by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, Dharampur. Being underweight and suffering from persistent vomiting and severe anaemia, his family was unable to afford the recommended endoscopy procedure at a specialised centre, and hence came to the camp with hopes of receiving treatment.
At the camp, specialists examined him and referred him to Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre for further evaluation. Dev, with his family, arrived in Dharampur and began receiving expert care for his condition under the hospital’s District Early Intervention Centre. The crucial endoscopy was also performed, leading to an accurate diagnosis and subsequent initiation of further treatment. Dev’s life-changing journey towards improved health and well-being has now begun!
This heart-warming case highlights the transformative impact of accessible healthcare services, provided through initiatives such as the Vavania Medical Camp.
