Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram hosted a pivotal 3-day training programme for over 75 state coordinators of the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) schools – a set of residential girls’ secondary schools by the Government of India for girls from tribal and other underprivileged sections of society.
Facilitated by the Government of Gujarat’s Samagra Shiksha initiative, with Shrimad Rajchandra Educational Trust serving as a knowledge partners, the programme was aimed to enhance operational excellence in managing the residential schools and hostels that serve these girls. A few sessions were also hosted by members of the Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care, including workshops on vocational training, identifying current gaps and opportunities, and integrating practical skills into the student’s curriculum.
In another recent collaborative initiative, representatives from Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care engaged in a productive meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Education from the Gujarat government. The focus was to raise awareness about ongoing
projects of the Educational Care initiative of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care and explore additional opportunities for support. These centres are pivotal in enhancing the quality of education within the public school system.
During the meeting, the representatives showcased how the Medical Trust is conducting health check-ups for students in schools under the Educational Trust’s outreach programme. The officials were impressed by this integrated approach to education and health, recognising the holistic benefits it brings to children’s well-being.
They expressed a keen interest in extending these services to more schools and pledged their full support for these commendable initiatives.
