While the impact of the Corona virus has been felt by people all over the world; it's impact on daily wage-earners (so called migrant workers) and poor people in India has been devastating. The weeks-long lock down in the country with 1.3 billion people has created a humanitarian crisis, whose size and scale are unfathomable. Roughly 200 to 300 million workers and their families have no work, food or shelter.

There are several NGOs who are trying to help. One of them is Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care USA (SRLC - USA a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization). I have been a part of this charitable organization for over a decade and have done a lot of volunteering work to help the needy in USA and India.

In response to COVID - 19 crisis, SRLC has launched many initiatives in the US and India, and helped those who have lost jobs, health care workers, migrant workers, daily wagers, stranded animals and anyone affected by the crisis.
