On the occasion of Women’s Day, the Ghatkopar centre of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care hosted vibrant celebrations across two locations in Mumbai – Lumbini Buddha Vihar slum in Panther Nagar, Vikroli and Asalpha, in association with Sahyog Chetak Trust. The events brought joy and empowerment to over 100 women from underprivileged communities.
At both venues, women engaged in fun games, nail art, and a jewellery-making workshop where they crafted beautiful ear chains to take home. A cooking demonstration taught them how to prepare Chinese bhel, cake, and mint lemon juice, which were served as delightful snacks. The celebrations concluded on a lively note with Bollywood music, dancing, and prize distributions.
The tireless spirit of SRLC volunteers ensured every woman felt seen, celebrated, and cared for. These moments of creativity, learning, and joy offered the women a refreshing break from daily routines, leaving behind smiles, gratitude, and cherished memories.
