Mehendi Training: Inspiring Stories of Empowerment

Rekha, a mother of two from the low-income area of Jari Mari, Mumbai, transformed her life after attending a mehendi training course organised under the Vocational Training Programme, in collaboration with Jagruti Kendra.

Despite her husband losing his job during the pandemic, Rekha was able to take mehendi orders and support her family. And today, she runs her own mehendi classes which have been extremely successful!

These initiatives have been instrumental in empowering women from underprivileged backgrounds to become self-reliant and financially independent, providing them with life-changing opportunities.
