In an effort to enhance maternal care in the lesser-traversed, rural regions of South Gujarat, Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre recently conducted a gynaecological screening and health awareness camp.
The event was part of the hospital’s ongoing goal to address the demographic challenges of the area, where the incidence of premature deliveries and high-risk pregnancies is significant.
The camp, which was organised on the occasion of International Women’s Day, was held at a Primary Health Centre in Hanmatmal, through which over 50 expectant mothers from more than 15 villages across the local region underwent medical screenings and attended counselling sessions.
A diagnostic screening was also conducted to check haemoglobin levels, blood pressure, and other high-risk factors. Patients in need of further investigation were referred for check-ups to Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre. The camp also focused on educating the women on various practical aspects related to staying healthy during pregnancy.
This initiative is a testament to the hospital’s commitment to improving maternal health and supporting the community’s well-being.
