The annual Shrimad Rajchandra Educational Aids Drive has been providing affordable necessities to students in order to support their educational aspirations, thereby unlocking opportunities for a brighter future.
The 2023 drive was flagged off in Ahmedabad, in the pious presence of Pujya Gurudevshri, by the Hon’ble Home Minister of Gujarat, Shri Harsh Sanghavi and Padmashri Dr Kumarpalbhai Desai. Over the course of three months, stationery at a discount of up to 35% compared to market prices was distributed. The drive covered over 100 centres across India – including major cities like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Surat, and smaller towns such as Dharampur, Bilimora, Gondal and Vansda.
The initiative also empowered local women self-help groups, offering employment opportunities to stitch carry bags for the drive. This approach served a dual purpose, aiding both the community and the beneficiaries purchasing the items. Collaborations with socially responsible corporate entities such as Balaji Wafers and Flair Pens were made. Educational aids to over 4,000 individuals were distributed through them.
This year an innovative chat bot was launched, enabling beneficiaries to pre-order items. This streamlined approach minimised wait times, optimised distribution and saved valuable time of students and their families.
The notebooks distributed during the drive were not just tools for learning but being adorned with the image of Shrimad Rajchandraji on the cover they were also a source of inspiration. Inner leaflets displayed anecdotes from the life of Shrimad Rajchandraji, with Pujya Gurudevshri’s motivational messages adding a touch of vibrancy and positivity.
The Shrimad Rajchandra Educational Aids Drive continues to be a source of inspiration and support for thousands of students, supporting their passion for learning and fostering a sense of possibility.
