Earthquake Relief Initiatives in Turkey and Syria

On February 6, devastating earthquakes struck Turkey and Syria leading to thousands of  casualties and life disruption for millions. Param Krupalu Dev and Pujya Gurudevshri’s blanket of compassion extended itself immediately to the earthquake affected areas of Turkey and Syria as Mission’s centres globally sprang into action as a part of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care’s Emergency Relief Care.

• Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care UK:

Launched an Emergency Earthquake Fundraising Campaign and assisted relief groups working in the affected areas to buy medicines, heaters and food.

• Transported essential items including sleeping bags, blankets and winter clothing to Turkey.
• Provided vital medicines to a government hospital in Turkey’s Gaziantep city.
• Opened kitchen in Sanliurfa, Turkey near the border with Syria to provide cooked Jain food items.
• Supported an animal rescue charity to fund cranes used to save pet animals trapped in buildings.
• A special Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care Earthquake Appeal charity concert has been organised at the Mission’s London Spiritual Centre to raise funds.
• Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care USA is actively raising funds to support Direct Relief, an NGO that responds to global emergencies.
• Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care Dubai facilitated the collection of winter essentials like blankets, jackets and tents, and delivered it to the Embassy of Turkey for further distribution.
