The best way to stay strong during conflict is to unite together!
Local faith representatives, councillors and residents came together on Sunday Evening, 6th March 2022 – at the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur London Spiritual Centre in a Vigil for Peace, praying for the safety and strength of all those impacted in the devastating events currently taking place in parts of Eastern Europe!
Representatives from the Christian, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Muslim and Zoroastrian traditions together with Dean Russell (MP for Watford), Cllr Anne Swerling (Mayor of Hertsmere), Cllr Seamus Quilty (Chair of Hertfordshire County Council) for sharing heartfelt messages of love.
The Vigil for Peace hosted an interfaith service including candle lighting, inspiring messages of unity, universal prayer and meditation seeking peace and happiness for all.
A truly uplifting evening that brought together diverse segments which make up the rich tapestry of our society as we know it today. We carry the common hope that love and peace will prevail at this delicate time of suffering and pain.
