During the COVID-19 pandemic, elders were restricted to the confines of their homes, unable to meet their families. In an effort to spread joy amongst them, volunteers of the San Diego centre hand-made over 500 encouragement and motivational cards for distribution amongst the elders in their community.

The cards were distributed to the elderly via Serving Seniors, a local NGO working with aged communities in need.
