Viacom18 Media Private Limited, SRLC’s corporate supporter at the Tata Mumbai Marathon, 2019, came up with a novel idea of doing something truly selfless. Viacom18 organised a special retreat in Mumbai for rural women from Raj Uphaar and gave them an opportunity to participate in Tata Mumbai Marathon, 2019, in place of their own employees.
The 5 day visit started with the group visiting the Viacom18 head-quarters in Mumbai for a lunch with Mr. Sudhanshu Vats – Group CEO and the India leadership team. The group explored India’s financial capital through a guided tour, visiting Mani Bhavan, Gateway of India, Girgaum Chowpatty, Babulnath Temple, Swaminarayan Temple, Mahalaxmi Temple, Siddhivinayak Temple, ISKCON Temple, Film City and Viacom 18 sets for participation in a TV show. This show was telecast on Colours Gujarati on January 30, wherein these rural women shared their stories of self-reliance. To cap off the memorable excursion, the women joined SRLC to walk in the Dream Run, soaking in the beautiful sights and vibrant spirit of the city!
