A global movement to spread awareness of deceased organ donation, Shrimad Rajchandra Organ Donation Programme was launched on Valentine’s Day in 2016. In a short span, the programme has spread awareness to over a million people across 150 cities in the world! Recognising its support towards the cause of deceased organ donation, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care was felicitated by the Zonal Transplant Co-Ordination Centre (ZTCC), during its 19th Foundation Day celebrations held on 30th March in Mumbai at Government Medical College, Sion.
The chief guests for the event were Dr. Pradeep Kumar Vyas – Principal Secretary, Public Health Department; Government of Maharashtra and Dr. S. K. Mathur, President – ZTCC Mumbai. The other dignitaries included Dr. Anup Kumar Yadav – Commissioner, Family Welfare and Director, National Health Mission; Dr. R.V. Karanjekar – Vice President – ZTCC Mumbai; Dr. Bharat Shah – General Secretary, ZTCC Mumbai etc. The event was attended by senior management of leading hospitals like Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, Jaslok Hospital, Saifee Hospital, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Fortis Hospital, Jupiter Hospital etc.
