Shrimad Rajchandra District Early Intervention Centre (SRDEIC) organised a training programme from July 6-12 for over 70 medical professionals and staff of the Early Intervention Centres of the Government of Gujarat. The participants included paediatricians, medical officers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, optometrists, special educators, staff nurses, speech therapists and audiologists. The participants were imparted knowledge and hands-on training for enhancing their skills to manage children under early intervention. The training was conducted by the team of SRDEIC trainers along with National Advisor – Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, Prof. Dr. Arun Singh.
The Commissioner of Health – Government of Gujarat, Dr Jayanti Ravi and Additional Director – Medical Services, Government of Gujarat, Dr N B Dholakia interacted with the participants on the last day of the workshop through video conferencing to guide them forward and ensure that the knowledge and skills reach till the grass-root level for the benefit of each and every needy child. The participants also engaged in yoga, meditation, motivational sessions and games.
SRDEIC is progressing towards being a model, state of the art training centre for the country.
