Shrimad Rajchandra District Early Intervention Centre has been striving continuously to prevent or minimise physical and neurological disabilities in young children and has been recognised as a Model Centre by the Government of Gujarat. Having gradually developed into a Centre of Learning, it has been regularly conducting training workshops and sharing best practices with medical professionals.
Having conducted a successful workshop last year, the centre was chosen again by the Government of Maharashtra to conduct a 2-day clinical practice and skill enhancement training for medical professionals from various Early Intervention Centres across the state. The objective of this training was to help develop similar centres across India. The workshop received enthusiastic participation from physiotherapists, occupational therapists, optometrists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, pediatric dentists and special educators. The workshop imparted practical and hands-on skills to further help these professionals in the early identification and better management of children with special needs.
