As a part of its regular visit to the Lions Home for the Elders, Singapore centre celebrated the birthday of a volunteer’s child. It turned out to be a joyful event for the elderly, filled with fun games, snacks and return gifts. The elderly were grateful for this gesture of affection.
In a creative effort to raise funds, volunteers of the Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care Singapore centre set up a food stall to cater to the crowd attending the Annual Day celebrations of Assisi Hospice, a care centre for the terminally ill. Volunteers sold hand-made, fresh delicacies which were enjoyed by the crowd. All proceeds from the event will be used towards providing the patients of Assisi Hospice with medical care and comfort.
