Biodiversity

Early Indicators of a Fledgling Biodiversity

Since the commencement of the landscape and afforestation programme, there has been a slow, perceptible change in the environs. The site has begun to see non-human visitors like garden lizards, and people are able to hear more bird calls and occasionally even sight peacocks. Many of these birds and insects are indicators of a healing ecosystem, and the reemergence of a biological food chain involves insects, rodents, reptiles and birds. There has also been an observable change in the microclimate due to the impact of the afforestation and other initiatives which have spurred the return of flora and fauna.
