The Humanitarian Care programme recently organised a beauty training course for women from the slums of Mumbai. Through the 4-month course, the women were empowered to earn a sustainable income and begin their journey towards self-reliance! The training was provided free of cost for all participants, and included various beauty-related modules such as threading, eyebrows, bleach, facial, manicure, pedicure, and waxing. Each session included a demonstration by a professional beautician, accompanied by a detailed manual with tips and helpful pointers.
As the group grew in self-confidence and started mastering their skills – they began securing orders for their work! For many of them, this represented a significant achievement – coming from conservative backgrounds, they were previously employed in odd jobs or were struggling to find a stable source of income. Through such initiatives, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care continues to empower women from less privileged backgrounds to become financially independent.
