The Ahimsa Peace Garden, an initiative of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care UK, was officially opened during a virtual ceremony with over 500 guests on Zoom, to commemorate the finale of the year-long celebration of Mahatma Gandhiji’s 150th birth anniversary started last year.
Launched in partnership with the OneJAIN organization and the Harrow Council in London, the project transformed a previously unmanaged and overgrown area into a beautiful garden for the local community.
The virtual ceremony witnessed participation from several OneJAIN organizations and was attended by various eminent dignitaries including Her Excellency Smt. Gaitri Kumar – The Honourable High Commissioner of India (UK), and Nitin Parekh – Mayor of Harrow and Gareth Thomas, Member of Parliament for Harrow West.
The tranquil and peaceful setting of the Ahimsa Peace Garden will serve as a place for reflection and activities such as Yoga, Tai Chi, and meditation for the local community.
